Joan Dorrill paints at her home studio where she and her husband live in St. Augustine, Florida. They have adult children and grandchildren in nearby states. Joan is a native of north Florida, but lived in north Georgia and Tennessee for over 30 years while painting and raising a family. 
  Modern and abstract   Her work now involves experimenting with pattern and symbols using the best watercolor or acrylic paints and papers, or in some cases canvas.  Texture is an important element, as well as color and design.
